It basically just sits in the center and outlasts the opponent the entire battle. It has a rubber tip that gets faster as it wears down, a heavy disk with rubber for extra attack potential, and a burst stopper mechanism, so if he launches hard enough, no enemy would be able to burst him.Īnother powerful bey would be Archer Hercules. Now, if he wants a super powerful attack type bey, he should go for Cho-Z Valkyrie. If you don't want to get both, I would suggest Revive Phoenix because it comes with a dual spin launcher that's better than the Hasbro ones. For the ULTIMATE defense type, you would want to get both of them and use the base from Revive and the ring from Dead to create Perfect Phoenix. Either one is good, but Revive has a heavier base and Dead has a heavier outer ring. Phoenix has a special ability where it has a ring around the edge that flies off and hits the opponent's bey and also absorbs impacts, preventing Phoenix from bursting. If you want to get him a defense type to win just about every battle, get him Revive Phoenix or Dead Phoenix. So, getting one of those would definitely put him above the rest. The big difference is that Takara Tomy's Cho-Z (They call it Turbo in English) beys have metal on them for extra weight. They are a bit more expensive because they are higher quality and from Japan, but you can still get them for a comparable price on Amazon. So, I'm assuming your son's friends all have Hasbro beyblades, so I would suggest getting him a Takara Tomy beyblade.
